VIS MUN

VIS successfully hosted its first-ever Model United Nations (MUN) conference, welcoming 57 delegates from four schools in Vilnius. The conference provided students in Vilnius with a long-awaited opportunity to collaboratively tackle global issues while enhancing their public speaking and debating skills.

Across three General Assembly committees, delegates engaged in thoughtful debate on pressing international challenges, including reducing small arms trafficking, creating green job opportunities, and protecting climate refugees.

Congratulations to the VIS MUN leadership team for setting an inspiring example by bringing together students from public, private, and international schools to debate and collaborate. A special congratulations goes to the two VIS students, Ludvig and Salomėja S, who received the Outstanding Delegate and Best Position Paper awards respectively.

We look forward to building on this year’s success as we start planning for next year’s conference.

A special thank you to Mr. Andrzej Dudziński, Chargé d’affaires of the Republic of Poland in Lithuania for his insightful keynote speech and interactive Q&A session, offering students a compelling look into the multifaceted world of professional diplomacy.
