School life
We strive to create an environment that supports the learning, personal growth, wellbeing and safety of all members of the school community.
The school calendar keeps you updated on important events and is updated regularly. Also see the weekly newsletter to enrolled families.

Our theme (sub)CONSCIOUS, explores beneath the surface of creativity and expression through our instincts and thoughts, in a world where imagination is constantly shaped by technology and social norms. We invite young thinkers to explore their own individual (sub)consciousness and how it influences their daily choices, ceativity, and individuality. From artistic expression to conformity, this theme reminds us that our (sub)consciousness has the ability to drive our creativity and perception.
After months of carrying out a comprehensive mandatory self study by our staff, PYP will be subject to an online evaluation by a team of IB assessors. This is part of a regular process for reviewing and assessing curriculum and policies, and celebrating strengths.
Stay tuned for committees, challenges, and proposed solutions.
VIS will host 26 students from Denmark and Estonia as part of a three country exchange programme during which they will explore folklore and song. VIS students will travel to Odense in June.
The EC and PYP Spring Fling has become a VIS tradition that our younger students most look forward to, with its sustainable and eco-friendly activities.
VIS is closed for Labour Day.
Vilnius International School will be hosting its first Model United Nations (MUN) conference organised by the MUN leadership team. 60 delegates from four schools in Vilnius will be attending, including 25 of our own students from G8-10 in various capacities. This event is part of an initiative to bring students together to foster dialogue, cooperation, and global awareness.

School holidays at Vilnius International School provide students with time to rest, recharge, and explore new interests. That said, we expect families to respect our school calendar and plan vacations accordingly. VIS has a rather short school year compared to international schools globally, please do not plan to withdraw students early for summer camps. Demonstrate that you take learning seriously by being our partners.
After-school activities at Vilnius International School offer students a chance to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships. From sports and arts to leadership programs and community service, there’s something for everyone.
These activities encourage creativity, teamwork, and personal growth in a fun and supportive environment. Students can discover new passions while gaining valuable experiences beyond the classroom.
Please note that breakfast and afternoon snacks are provided to Early Childhood learners only, while lunch is provided to all VIS students.
