Save the date for PYP’s back-to-school nights. These evening sessions are designed to give parents the opportunity to connect with their child’s classroom community and will take place in-person at Rusų g. 3.

VIS will celebrate a language and culture shared by many of our students, teachers, and other staff. Not just for one day, but the entire week. Będzie fajnie!
Upper school parents are invited to attend a number of sessions taking place both in person and online.
Grade 6 – 10 parents are invited to join Mr. Thibault online from 16:00 to 17:00 for information about the specifics of assessment in the Middle Years Programme at VIS.
The following 17:00 to 18:00 session will be led by Ms. Dee where parents will be shown how to use Managebac to follow the progress of their child’s academic learning, attendance and other aspects.

Grade 10 parents should join Mr. Roman online at 16:00 for information regarding student Personal Projects. Personal Project is a required externally assessed project that culminates completion of the MYP curriculum.
Parents of grades 10-12 students can log onto a 17:00 session by Ms. Neringa and Ms. Asta to learn how VIS supports students in preparation of university applications.
Grade 6 and 7 parents, let’s talk about life in the early years of middle school! We want to share our goals for the year with you, and how we aim to promote a greater sense of belonging at VIS. Join us from 17:00 to 19:00 at the Cookie Factory on Rusų g. 5.
Grade 8, 9, and 10 parents, we recognize that this is a time in the life of our students that can be confusing for parents. Let’s come together and learn about our observations and plans for the coming year. See you at 17:00 – 19:00 at the Cookie Factory on Rusų g. 5.
Ms. Jemma will lead a workshop for new and returning parents about the ins and outs of the Primary Years Program. Please join her at 9:00 in the Blue Room of the PYP building.
EC and PYP students are welcome to submit their pumpkins for our Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. Stay tuned for information on categories.
No lessons today; all teaching staff will be participating in professional growth workshops.
VIS will be closed for Autumn break. Students will return on Monday, November 3rd, however EC student supervision will be available for the break.
EC and Grade 1- 5 parents*, please save the date for the Parent Teacher Confeneces, where you can connect with teachers to gain insight into your child’s progress so far. Individual schedules will be provided closer to the event. Kindly note that conferences are between teachers and parents only.; students will not be taking part.
*classes 1M and 2T will hold their conferences on Saturday, November 22.
Grades 6 through 12 parents should save the date to meet their child’s teachers in brief one-on-one parent-teacher
Students from grades 9 and 10 have the opportunity to practice their Spanish language skills while exploring the history, art, architecture, and culture of Spain. The culmination of learning will be a trip to Barcelon and Madrid in Spring 2026. The cost for pricipation will be approximately €900. Contact Mr. Dustan for more information.
School holidays at Vilnius International School provide students with time to rest, recharge, and explore new interests. That said, we expect families to respect our school calendar and plan vacations accordingly. VIS has a rather short school year compared to international schools globally, please do not plan to withdraw students early for summer camps. Demonstrate that you take learning seriously by being our partners.
After-school activities at Vilnius International School offer students a chance to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships. From sports and arts to leadership programs and community service, there’s something for everyone.
These activities encourage creativity, teamwork, and personal growth in a fun and supportive environment. Students can discover new passions while gaining valuable experiences beyond the classroom.
