Cambridge International AS&A Levels
VIS strives to prepare learners to be successful in the next stage of their learning journey - wherever that takes them. VIS celebrated the first graduating class in 2018.
VIS is an IB PYP, IB MYP and Cambridge International approved K-12 school. VIS embraced the Cambridge International programme because it best meets the needs of our learners by allowing students to focus on areas of strength and personal interest. The targeted course selection provides our students with a greater sense of agency and allows VIS to be more inclusive in our upper school enrollment. Additionally, our Cambridge International AS & A Level programme is enriched by two core courses: English language and literature and Lithuanian language and literature. These courses ensure that the ethos of our school continues to support student development as culturally proficient human beings.
Our 2024 – 2025 courses include: Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Business, and History. VIS Core courses: English Literature and Lithuanian Language and Literature are mandatory.
2025-2026 will include those listed above with an addition of Digital Media.
We are often asked why VIS has elected to pursue the Cambridge International programme rather than continue as an IB continuum school. The answer is simple – because we have been successful! The CIE programme has set our students up to feel prepared for the challenges of university, many have indicated that it gives them a head start with first and even second year studies and that head start means they have time to participate in clubs, internships, job placements and a social life.
