Grade2
1st – and 2nd- graders worked on the 2 units of inquiry so far. One was dedicated to the concept of Time – students learned about various calendars and clocks belonging to different cultures and civilizations. On the left: students are working on the Calendars and clocks project. The other unit of inquiry is about continents, countries and the variety of habitats. On the right: students are presenting their project on tundra.
 
Countries
During the Countries and continents unit of inquiry, the students had to each make a presentation on their native country or any country they wanted to learn more about. The students then invited their parents to participate in the project. On the left: students and their parents presenting the project on Denmark. On the right: students together with a parent developing the presentation on the USA.
 
 
Continents
 
On the left: the presentation on India. On the right (top): when doing the research on habitats, the students enjoyed the ice experiment to find out why the polar bear is never cold swimming in the icy water. On the right (bottom): Grade 2 students with their class teacher carving pumpkins for the Fall Feast.
