Recent Events VIS 2ND SCIENCE FAIR - April 30 VIS DRAGON MASCOT CONTEST - January-March 2010 Congratulations to the winners of VIS Dragon Mascot Contest! Albertas (Grade 4) awarded for the Most Creative Mascot, Džema (Grade 3) – the Most Spirited Mascot, and Grand Prize went to Nicholas (Grade 4). The winners were awarded with awesome books - about dragons, of course! VIS ANNUAL KAZIUKAS FAIR - March 2010 VIS HARVEST FESTIVAL - October 23, 2009 VIS would like to thank EVERYONE who did their best to make the Fall Festival such a warm and fun event! We all worked hard, both at school and home, on our pumpkins and it was worth that! Look and admire them - they are so scaring, cute and absolutely adorable! VIS Pre-k and Primary school children were so eager to share the dances and songs that they had been practicing for their parents and the Festival guests. VIS school yard hosted a joyful fair where you could try homemade cakes, cookies, caramel apples and sweets - all made by VIS parents and kids. And finally there it came - the Pumpkin Contest Award ceremony! We were happy to have Finnish Ambassador Marja-Liisa Kiljunen and Danish Ambassador Laurids Mikaelsen and his wife Grete to open the ceremony. Awards were given to the Cutest, the most Creative, the most Scaring and the most Original pumpkins! On that chilly evening, we all loved line dancing and enjoyed the steaming corn on the cob to keep us warm!
